The World Birding Center
The World Birding Center (WBC) is a network of nine birding centers located along 120 miles of the Rio Grande from South Padre Island west to Roma, with habitats ranging from dry chaparral brush and verdant riverside thickets to freshwater marshes and coastal wetlands. World Birding Center Mission Statement: To protect native habitat while increasing the understanding and appreciation of the birds and wildlife. The project is a global model for conservation and eco-tourism development. Over 10,000 acres are open at the WBC sites for prime viewing and enjoyment.
McAllen Goes Green
