Quinta Mazatlan, McAllen Wing of the World Birding Center... offers you enjoyment, education, camaraderie and a new understanding of the natural and cultural history of the Valley – both past and present. Guests will enjoy the interpretive presentations including the home’s history, Spanish architecture, history of the families, art gallery, and an introduction to our nature trails that feature the flora and fauna of the area and over 500 plant and animal species.

Summer Camp

Nature’s Discovery Camp
Kids enjoy a combination of indoor and outdoor adventure games, wildlife exploration, treasure hunts and art!

Dates: Tuesday - Friday
Ages: 6 to 12 years
Fee: $40 per weekly session

Interpretive Tours

Woodland Walkabout
Guests will enjoy an interpretive tour on the trails surrounding the mansion. An easy quarter of a mile walk will feature the wildlife and plants of the area. Over 100 kinds of birds and 120 kinds of plants have been documented on the property.

Quinta Mazatlan works to connect people to nature through art. The art exhibits honor the environment and families making a difference in protecting and enhancing our natural heritage. Artwork is available for purchase with a percentage of the proceeds benefiting our educational programs and improving the wildlife habitat.
