Our Gardens

Quinta Mazatlan is a 20 acre urban sanctuary located in the heart of the City of McAllen. Just minutes away from the airport and busy shopping centers, you’ll find yourself in a slow and peaceful refuge filled with beauty and wonder. The historic home is a mansion with a mission working to help restore native habitat for wildlife one backyard at a time.

Upon entering the wooden gates of Quinta Mazatlan you will find a remnant of what once thrived just a few decades ago. With over 95 percent of the Rio Grande Valleys original habitat gone, our center is devoted to the preservation and restoration of our natural habitat. Quinta Mazatlan features a variety of themed gardens, trails and programs for you to explore and learn about plants to create your own personal slice of the past.
