BUDDING BOTANIST

Overview
As budding botanists, students will explore the world of plants. The super sleuths will have fun learning about native plants, and exploring their different parts including roots, stems, leaves, seeds and flowers. Students will be asked to observe, measure, and record information on a data collection sheet. Students will also examine how plants and animals depend on each other for their existence.
Program Highlights
- Students will discover how plants adapt to the climate
- Plant parts will be examined using hand lenses
- Students will make inquiries about organisms (like birds) and determine how plants help provide their basic needs for survival
- Learn about all the important things plants provide humans
