Using Our Senses to Explore the Outdoors

Overview
Quinta Mazatlan is a wonderful place to explore nature. The students will use every available minute to learn and explore the world around them. The multi-center experience includes lab and trail time with hand lenses, story time, art activities, and songs. Note: Teachers are encouraged to bring a snack and drink for the students in addition to their lunch.
Program Highlights
- Learn about the life cycle of butterflies and ladybugs
- Identify 4 parts of insects
- Draw conclusions about how plants and animals live together
- Observe and describe the natural world using the five senses.
- Observe and discuss weather
- Investigate how ladybugs, butterflies, and honey bees are beneficial
